Low Cost Robotic Arm

This design was the winner of the 2020 Project of the Year contest by Dassault Systemes, and is also being implemented into a robotic bartender that we are building.

3DOF Forearm Module for Robotic Arm

This 3D printed Forearm module has a 2 joint wrist mechanism that is driven by stepper motors and a forearm rotation axis driven by a servo. It has built in absolute encoders and and wiring ducts, so it can be easily attached to a robotic arm. It mounts on a shaft and couples to it using hidden set screws that are accessible by removing the side plate, which is held by standard bolts.

2020 FRC Intake using mecanum wheels for ball-centering

This piston-actuated intake system has two rollers. The front PVC roller captures balls, and the second mecanum-wheeled roller centers the balls so they can enter the robot. The intake has built in hard stops and virtual hard stops that use hall effect sensors so the robot knows the state of the intake.

Autonomous Gesture-Controlled Safe Drone Drone

This Drone Frame Design is optimized for safety, and uses standard electronics and motors that are commonly found in lower-ened racing drones. The frame is intended to be manufactured from carbon fiber, while the outer wall is to be made from a foam board shell or 3d printed plastic.

This prototype was made from 3D printed SLS plates, and used a raspberry pi and ardupilot flight controller to activate automated sequences using hand controls. This prototype achieved speeds of 40mph, and 5-minute flight times.
